• Develop and maintain project plans, delivery schedules, work breakdown structures, resource plans, RAID logs and reporting artefacts.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the business processes, technical architecture, solution landscape and strategic objectives of each project, to inform leadership and decision-making.
• Coordinate and direct multidisciplinary project teams across multiple technical workstreams and suppliers.
• Chair project meetings, steer delivery activities and ensure alignment with agreed governance processes.

• Review and challenge solution approaches, delivery plans and technical proposals where necessary.
Governance and Documentation

• Prepare governance updates, presentations, management briefings, business cases, Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), DPIA assessments, DGOU Requests for Specific Approval (RSAs), Product Release Documents, status reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders. DHLGH templates are available.
• Prepare and present analysis, insights and recommendations to governance forums and senior client stakeholders to support decision-making.
• Identify and advise on programme-level decisions that affect project direction, and escalate unresolved decisions to the agreed governance forum.
• Translate complex technical concepts, constraints and risks into clear business impacts and decision points.
Stakeholders and Alignment

• Engage with business stakeholders to define requirements, priorities and expected business outcomes.
• Influence and negotiate project outcomes across multiple functions.
• Translate IT strategy into measurable business benefits, tailoring communications to each audience.
• Align business and IT objectives, working across organisational and technology silos to adopt common, sustainable, reusable and agile approaches.

• Ensure project delivery supports departmental strategic objectives and delivers measurable business benefits.
• Work closely with technical teams delivering Azure, Power Platform, Power BI, Synapse Pipelines, Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics 365 and integration solutions, keeping projects on track and technical risks managed.
Vendors and Quality

• Manage vendor relationships and use vendor frameworks to deliver project commitments.
• Ensure quality assurance and software testing methodologies are applied throughout delivery.
• Apply security controls across cloud and digital projects, covering data privacy, access control and vulnerability management.

• Work the full contracted hours, with consistent day-to-day engagement across project activities, governance forums, and in-person and online stakeholder meetings.
