Kitchen and Laundry technician

As a Laundry & Kitchen Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of all kitchen and laundry equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering timely repairs that support the hotel's daily operations.

As part of the Engineering team, you will help maintain the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and operational excellence, enabling our Culinary, Housekeeping, and Laundry teams to provide outstanding service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all kitchen and laundry equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, combi ovens, fryers, grills, steamers, dishwashers, refrigeration units, and extraction systems.
• Maintain laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, ironing machines, and related systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment faults, leaks, abnormal performance, or potential failures before they impact operations.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on electrical and gas-operated equipment in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer recommendations.
• Monitor refrigeration systems, walk-in chillers, freezers, and cold rooms to ensure optimal performance and temperature control.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from Culinary, Housekeeping, Laundry, and other operational departments to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and spare parts inventory.
• Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs when required.
• Ensure all equipment complies with health, safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
• Support food safety requirements by maintaining equipment reliability and reporting issues that may affect kitchen operations.
• Keep tools, workshop areas, and spare parts organized, clean, and safe.
• Collaborate effectively with Engineering and operational teams to deliver efficient technical support.
• Adhere to all fire, health, safety, and environmental regulations and hotel policies.
• Foster a positive team environment through professionalism, accountability, and proactive support.
