Business Analyst, Card Portfolio Analytics
Job Description
Our Fortune 100 financial services client is seeking a Business Analyst, Card Portfolio Analytics, to provide dedicated analytics and reporting support for a community financial institution's card portfolio, with a particular focus on a new card program. This role will develop a deep understanding of the portfolio and serve as a trusted business partner for reporting, analytics, and ongoing business questions related to the card program.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of strong business analysis and reporting capabilities, card-service knowledge, sound business judgment, and the ability to translate data into practical recommendations. This is a highly collaborative, business-facing role that requires someone who can work independently while partnering closely with stakeholders to understand needs, identify trends, and improve how portfolio information is reported and used.
The Details:
• Location: Fully remote within U.S. (Must work Pacific or Mountain Time)
• Duration: Approximately a 9-month consulting role with the possibility of extension (must be able to work on Blend’s W2 without sponsorship)

What you’ll do:
Card Portfolio Analytics & Reporting
• Provide ongoing analytics and reporting support for a card portfolio, with a particular focus on a new card program.
• Develop a strong understanding of portfolio performance, business objectives, and stakeholder needs to provide meaningful analytical support.
• Develop, refine, and maintain recurring business reports and dashboards.
• Respond to ongoing business questions by researching data, analyzing results, and translating findings into clear business insights.
• Analyze portfolio performance, trends, and key drivers to identify opportunities, challenges, and areas requiring additional attention.
• Present findings through clear reports, presentations, and business recommendations tailored to the needs of business stakeholders.
Business Analysis & Thought Partnership
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand questions, objectives, and reporting needs and translate them into actionable analysis.
• Apply sound business judgment when interpreting data and determining the practical implications of findings.
• Translate quantitative information into clear, data-informed recommendations that can support business decision-making.
• Serve as a trusted thought partner to stakeholders by proactively identifying trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement.
• Develop a deep understanding of the card portfolio and use that knowledge to provide context beyond simply reporting the numbers.
Reporting Optimization
• Evaluate existing reports and reporting processes to identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, and improve recurring deliverables.
• Help transform lengthy or complex reporting into more efficient, user-friendly, and actionable formats.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve consistency across recurring reporting processes.
• Where appropriate, collaborate with stakeholders and technical partners to explore opportunities for reporting automation or process improvements.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional partners to understand priorities and deliver timely analytical support.
• Manage multiple requests and priorities while maintaining accuracy, quality, and responsiveness.
• Communicate analytical findings clearly to both analytical and non-technical audiences.
• Build strong working relationships and establish credibility through reliable follow-through, attention to detail, and practical business insight.
• Work independently while knowing when to ask questions, seek additional context, or escalate an issue.
