About the Role

As the Lead Business Analyst of Uber Freight (UF) Strategy & Planning (S&P;), you will create high impact, high visibility outputs. In this role, you will drive Weekly/Monthly Business Reviews, develop dashboards for the Executive Leadership Team, analyze competitive intelligence, and dive deep into the business’s most complex operational and strategic challenges. This position requires a balance of rigorous data analytics, strategic thinking, and compelling executive storytelling. You will partner closely with commercial, marketplace, operations, finance, and tech teams. The ideal candidate thrives on transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and driving cross-functional alignment.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Executive Reporting & Cadences: Build, coordinate, and improve UF’s Monthly Business Review (MBR) and UF’s section of the Global Business Review for Uber executive leadership.

• Performance Dashboards: Develop and maintain core executive dashboards to track real-time operational, marketplace, and financial metrics.

• Competitive Intelligence: Synthesize internal metrics and market data into actionable insights on industry trends and competitive dynamics.

• Analytical Deep Dives: Conduct rigorous, data-driven deep dives into complex, ambiguous business problems to uncover root causes and recommend actionable solutions for leadership.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree 

• 7+ years of professional experience  

• Strong analytical skillset, particularly in SQL and Google Sheets/Excel

• Confident builder of presentations (Google Slides/Powerpoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong strategic skillset 

• Proficiency in Tableau

• A consistent track record of driving impact on cross-functional teams 

• Experience in either technology or marketplaces 

• Experience with R / Python or other programming languages 

Benefits & Compensation for U.S. Employees

Employees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more.  US based employees may also be eligible for a performance or sales incentive bonus program, participation in Uber Freight equity awards, and other types of compensation depending upon the role.

Illinois: The target base salary for this position is between $121,350 - $170,900
