Job Summary
Assistant Manager – ReceivablesDepartment: Finance &Accounts;Reporting To: Manager – Finance / Finance Head
Job PurposeResponsible for managing and controlling the Accounts Receivable function,ensuring accurate customer balances, timely receipt accounting, effective collection monitoring, receivables reconciliation, and ageing management.
Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end receivables process, including customer ledger scrutiny, receipt accounting, reconciliation, and ageing. Maintain strong control over customer receipts, ensuring timely identification, accounting, and allocation against customer/invoice balances. Prepare and monitor customer-wise receivables ageing, identifying overdue and high-risk balances. Conduct regular receivables reconciliation between customer ledgers, bank receipts, invoices, credit notes, and other adjustments. Monitor and clear unallocated receipts, customer advances, and long- pending reconciliation items. Coordinate with Sales/Operations teams for timely collection and resolution of customer disputes and outstanding balances. Review customer balances and highlight overdue collections, unusual balances, and credit risks to management. Review and supervise the work of the Receivables Executives/team, including receipt accounting, reconciliations, ageing, and customer ledgerscrutiny. Ensure timely and accurate month-end/year-end receivables closure and provide schedules for audit and management reporting. Prepare receivables MIS covering ageing, collections, overdue balances, unallocated receipts, and reconciliation status.
