Deburrer

Position Summary:

Remove burrs from manifolds using hand tools or automated processes

Duties and responsibilities:

· Review work instructions for manifold and determine method of deburring

· Manually deburr manifold blocks by hand using files, drills, scrapers, brushes, etc.

· Prepare thermo deburring machine for run; turn on gas and check connections; load program

· Perform safety check on thermal deburring machine prior to operation

· Run preliminary job for verification

· Load/unload thermo deburring machine

· Use hand light to illuminate manifold cavities for hidden burrs

· Check completed manifolds for damage and contamination

· Stack finished product as directed on work instructions on pallets or crates

· Perform other duties as assigned by manager

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

· Lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance

· Able to sit or stand for long periods of time

· Ability to load/unload machines (requires repetitive lifting and bending)

· Low sensitivity to sawdust

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Some of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be high
