Mechanical Design Engineer

Experience - 2–4 Years

Location Bangalore

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in enclosure and sheet metal design. The candidate will be responsible for designing robust, manufacturable, and IP-rated enclosures for industrial and electronic applications. The role involves concept development, detailed design, engineering calculations, manufacturing support, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop sheet metal and CNC-machined enclosures and mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Perform engineering calculations related to strength, stiffness, load-bearing capacity, and material selection.
• Design welded structures using square, rectangular, and round profiles.
• Develop IP-rated enclosure solutions considering environmental protection requirements.
• Select and integrate seals, gaskets, adhesives, and fastening systems.
• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Apply GD&T; principles in manufacturing drawings.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost optimization.
• Support prototype development, assembly, testing, and validation activities.
• Resolve manufacturing and fabrication-related issues during production.
• Participate in design reviews and implement improvement recommendations.
• Maintain engineering documentation and revision control.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 70% academic score throughout education.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing or shop-floor environments.
• Experience in prototype development and testing.
• Understanding of enclosure standards and industrial design practices.
• Knowledge of electrical panel integration is an added advantage.
Experience Requirement

• 2–4 years of experience in Mechanical Design.
• Proven experience in Enclosure Design, Sheet Metal Design, or Industrial Product Design.
• Experience in designing products for manufacturing and assembly.
