We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you'll design, build, and operate backend services that power critical business applications at scale. You'll work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features while driving operational excellence and mentoring fellow engineers. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by architecting innovative solutions in a supportive environment.
You will report to the Engineering Manager II based in Singapore and work onsite and CMC Creative Space office, HCMC.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
• Design and implement scalable, reliable backend services using modern programming languages and frameworks, with a focus on performance, cost-efficiency, and maintainability
• Own delivery of features and projects, including requirements clarification, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring
• Lead and participate in technical discussions and design reviews, making thoughtful trade-offs between reliability, latency, throughput, and cost
• Instrumenting services with comprehensive metrics, logs, and traces; define SLIs/SLOs; improve alerting strategies; and perform capacity planning and performance optimization
• Collaborate with other teams to design end-to-end workflows that are secure, scalable, and user-centric
• Contribute to engineering excellence by improving CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, documentation standards, and design practices within the team
• Mentor other engineers through constructive code reviews, knowledge sharing, and best practice guidance in design, coding, and operational excellence
• Participate in on-call rotations and handle production incidents
• Support hiring initiatives by conducting technical interviews and helping refine interview processes and guidelines
