About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Senior Manager of Accounting, Fixed Assets & Logistics to join our Accounting team. This role is hybrid based in Palo Alto, CA. We are seeking a highly-motivated, detail oriented, and collaborative individual to join our growing accounting team. A successful candidate is one who thrives in a highly dynamic environment and looks to partner across the organization to build systematic accounting solutions to support our growth. The candidate will be responsible for establishing and owning relationships across the organization to build out critical general ledger accounting policies to support our multi-national contract manufacturing and logistics organization responsible for bringing assets to operating markets, including fixed assets, leases, and tariff and freight costs. This position will be responsible for leading month-end close activities and aligning our business operations to accounting standards. This position requires a strong understanding of US GAAP, comfort with ambiguity and change, and a growth mindset with passion for continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
• Own month end close responsibilities for fixed asset, leases, and tariff and freight costs, including journal entries and critical reconciliationsSupport reporting and other deliverable coordination with AlphabetExperience with System implementation projects to improve core ERP functionality and asset tracking and managementIdentify system enhancements to accelerate close cycle, while maintaining accuracy
• Review significant vendor and contract manufacturing contracts to ensure alignment with policies & optimize accounting processes
• Support local statutory accounting to ensure completeness of assets transferred between entites during a period.
• Review and provide accounting operations guidance on new leasing transactions or significant asset purchases
• Strengthen and/or implement internal controls to maintain financial accuracy and integrity
• Partner with finance and other stakeholders to provide timely and transparent guidance on accounting impacts for key transactions
What You’ll Need:
• 12+ years of relevant accounting experience, within technology, logistics, or manufacturing industriesBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent practical experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) License is preferredStrong understanding and application of accounting principles and financial reporting (GAAP required or IFRS is a nice to have)
• SAP S/4 or equivalent ERP experience
• Experience in building fixed asset control environments to support multinational contract manufacturing, logistics, and operations footprints
• Experience building out accounting responsibilities for cycle counts, warehouse management, and scrap/asset disposition processes
• Experience evaluating contracts and operationalizing contracts under ASC 842
• A builder mindset that enjoys turning ambiguous workflows into streamlined, automated, and reliable processes
• Experience establishing and implementing processes that scale with businessComfort dealing with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail and accuracy skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with a passion for synthesizing complex data into a clear storyline
• Ability to independently drive multiple projects to completion under tight deadlines within a collaborative team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to actively contribute to our work culture
The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
