We’re looking for a visionary DevOps to join the R&D; team. In this critical role, you will support the entire R&D; operation, by providing automated tools and CI/CD processes.
Responsibilities:
• Be the owner of continuous delivery and deployment processes of all of Cato's software projects, build them from the bottom up, and keep extending them.
• Collaborate with R&D; and other departments to provide and improve self-service tools and automate whatever can be automated.
• Help different departments be more productive in their day-to-day and improve overall developer experience.
• Lead technical projects from discovery and design through implementation and rollout.
• Partner with engineering teams to understand pain points, gather requirements, and improve developer workflows.
• Define roadmaps and break down large initiatives into actionable plans and deliverables.
• Contribute to our internal engineering portal and other developer-facing platforms.
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and build tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Docker, Artifactory).
• Experience in Docker & container technology. Bonus - Experience building and operating production systems on Kubernetes.
• Proven programming and scripting experience - e.g. Go, Groovy, Python, Bash.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic multi-task environment with context switches.
• Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills.
• Ability to independently identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive execution.
• Comfortable working directly with engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of and a passion for configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
• Experience with cloud IaaS such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and SaaS platforms in general.
• Experience with GitOps workflows and tools such as ArgoCD.
• Software development experience in a backend language (Go is a strong advantage).
• Experience designing developer self-service workflows.
• Experience with Developer Experience (DevEx) initiatives.
• Experience leading projects or owning significant technical initiatives end-to-end.
*We operate in a hybrid model, requiring three days in the office.
