Position OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to manage  business development, channel sales, and market expansion for our EdTech solutions and products across the assigned region.
The role will be responsible for achieving sales and revenue targets, developing and managing a strong network of EdTech resellers, dealers, distributors and channel partners, and proactively engaging with schools, universities, government institutions, enterprises and other end users.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in B2B technology sales, EdTech, channel management and business development, with the ability to identify market opportunities, build relationships, conduct product demonstrations and POCs, and convert opportunities into sustainable revenue.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Development• Drive sales and business development activities across the assigned territory/region.
• Achieve and exceed agreed sales, revenue, margin and business development targets.
• Identify new business opportunities, accounts, verticals and geographical markets.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and relationship development.
• Develop strategic relationships with decision-makers across schools, universities, education groups and other institutions.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through demonstrations, POCs, negotiations, closure and account development.
2. Channel & Reseller Management• Identify, appoint, onboard and develop resellers, dealers, distributors and EdTech channel partners.
• Establish strong relationships with channel partners and drive regular business engagement.
• Develop partner-specific sales plans, targets and activity plans.
• Enable partners through product training, sales presentations, demos and commercial support.
• Track partner performance against agreed targets and take corrective action where required.
• Build a proactive and scalable channel network across the region.
• Identify opportunities for new channel partnerships and expand market coverage.
3. End-User Engagement, Demonstrations & POCs• Conduct professional product demonstrations, presentations and Proof of Concepts (POCs) for schools, universities and other prospective customers.
• Understand customer requirements and position the company’s solutions to address their business and educational needs.
• Work closely with technical/product teams to design appropriate POCs and solution proposals.
• Follow up consistently after demonstrations and POCs to drive conversion.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including school owners, management, principals, IT heads, procurement teams and decision-makers.
4. CRM & Sales Follow-Up Management• Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the company’s CRM system.
• Ensure all leads, opportunities, activities, meetings, demos, POCs, proposals and follow-ups are recorded.
• Develop and maintain a disciplined sales follow-up strategy for all active opportunities.
• Track pipeline movement, conversion rates, ageing opportunities and sales forecasts.
• Provide regular sales reports, forecasts and market updates to management.
• Ensure timely follow-up and closure of opportunities without unnecessary pipeline leakage.
5. Go-To-Market Strategy• Develop and execute a proactive Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for the company’s products and solutions.
• Identify priority markets, customer segments, channel opportunities and high-potential accounts.
• Develop territory-wise and product-wise sales plans.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, pricing and customer requirements.
• Recommend new products, solutions, partnerships and market initiatives based on market feedback.
• Work with marketing and product teams on campaigns, events, exhibitions, workshops and lead-generation activities.
6. Target & Performance Management• Translate company objectives into clear monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Develop an action plan to achieve assigned targets.
• Monitor sales performance against targets and proactively address gaps.
• Maintain a strong focus on pipeline generation, conversion, revenue achievement and customer acquisition.
• Develop accurate monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.
• Present sales performance, challenges, opportunities and action plans to management.
7. Market Development & Representation• Proactively engage with the regional EdTech and education technology ecosystem.
• Represent the company at education exhibitions, conferences, seminars, workshops and partner events.
• Build relationships with education technology influencers, consultants, system integrators and strategic partners.
• Gather market intelligence and provide actionable feedback to management.
• Identify emerging technologies and opportunities that can contribute to the company’s growth.

Required Skills & Experience• 5+ years of experience in B2B technology sales, EdTech, IT, AV/interactive technology or related industries.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience managing resellers, dealers, distributors and channel partners.
• Strong business development and account management skills.
• Experience selling to schools, universities, education groups or institutional customers is highly preferred.
• Experience conducting product demonstrations, presentations and POCs.
• Strong understanding of channel sales and partner-led business models.
• Hands-on experience with CRM platforms and structured sales pipeline management.
• Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and execute territory-level sales and GTM strategies.
• Strong commercial understanding with the ability to manage pricing, proposals and negotiations.
• Self-motivated, proactive and target-oriented personality.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.

Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a hunter and relationship builder who can independently create opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads.
They should be able to:Identify → Engage → Demo → POC → Follow Up → Negotiate → Close → Expand
The candidate must combine direct EdTech and enterprise/end-user sales with strong channel development, creating a sustainable ecosystem of resellers and partners while simultaneously building direct relationships with key education institutions.
