Scopely is looking for a QA Manager, Live Operations to join our team on a soon-to-be announced AAA mobile game title. This role can be remote in the US and Canada, or hybrid in Culver City.

What You Will Do

The QA Manager will lead and develop a distributed QA team while driving scalable quality practices, release excellence, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality live game experiences for our game community.

• Manage, mentor, and support the growth and development of a talented QA team

• Build on existing team metrics to measure product quality and operational excellence

• Advocate for quality and serve as a spokesperson for continuous improvement initiatives

• Clearly communicate issues, risks, concerns, and successes to stakeholders, partners, and executives

• Foster strong collaboration across internal and external development, QA, and localization teams

• Partner with team leads to create effective plans, assignments, and schedules for all quality-related activities

• Continuously evaluate and improve QA, release, and deployment processes

• Champion QA and release excellence across the organization

• Help establish scalable quality practices that support the continued growth of the title

• Partner closely with engineering, live operations, marketing, and customer support teams

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in quality assurance

• 2+ years of management experience across the full game development lifecycle

• Proven experience working on a live mobile game with a large and active player base

• Deep understanding of QA methodologies, frameworks, and industry best practices

• Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence teams toward exceptional product quality

• Experience embedding QA practices within multidisciplinary development teams

• Experience in live operations and partnering with Marketing, Customer Service, and Live Support

• Experience building and leading distributed or remote teams

• Strong knowledge of software testing, QA processes, software development, change management, and process improvement

• Proficiency with bug-tracking systems and test-plan management tools

• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills

Bonus Points

• Experience working in mobile free-to-play or core gaming environments

• Familiarity with release management, automation, and quality metrics

For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY, and WA, the annual salary range is provided below. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for equity, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

CA, CO, NJ, NY, and WA Annual Salary Range$98,600—$145,000 USD
