Social Media Lead
Job Description
About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
Social at Ramp exists to make the company more visible, culturally relevant, and useful to the people we want to reach. We are looking for a highly strategic Social Media Lead to turn that ambition into an operating system.
Your central job is to build the strategy and operating system for Ramp social. You will bring a clear point of view, make the right calls about where and how Ramp shows up, and ensure our biggest moments have real distribution behind them. You will help more Ramp employees credibly tell the stories closest to their work. You may also be hands-on where it matters, but strategic leadership and operational ownership are what will define success in this role.
What You'll Do
• Set Ramp’s social strategy, raise the creative bar, and focus the calendar on fewer, more consequential moments.
• Decide when Ramp, an employee, executive, creator, customer, or partner should lead the story, then build the right distribution plan around it.
• Help more Ramplings and executives post credibly about their work, with clear guidance, coaching, and amplification.
• Build a reliable approach to community management and social support, including the right contractor bench.
• Bring together producers, influencer, Brand, Comms, Growth, Support, and visibility teams to execute the highest-priority work.
• Establish a clear scorecard and use social insights to improve the work over time.
What success looks like
• Ramp has a clear social point of view, distinct roles for each channel, and a calendar built around high-conviction moments rather than constant posting.
• The social function is a strategic driver of visibility and demand, not an internal posting service.
• Employees and executives have an easy, trusted way to share their work, and the strongest posts receive coordinated amplification.
• Product questions and customer issues found on social are handled with dependable ownership and follow-through.
• Social has data driven goals and learnings, including reach, awareness, demand, campaign lift, and market insights.
What you bring
• 2+ years leading strategic social, or related marketing programs at a top-tier technology, consumer or media company.
• A demonstrated ability to build social strategy and the operating model behind it: prioritization, agency management, workflows, measurement, and executive alignment.
• Excellent editorial judgment and an instinct for what will feel credible and native on each platform, especially LinkedIn, X, Meta, YouTube, and emerging community channels.
• Comfort with performance and brand measurement, including how to distinguish correlation from impact and how to run disciplined tests.
How we work
We make finance teams cool. That means taking ideas further, choosing fewer bets with more force, and creating work people genuinely want to talk about. We value sharp taste, clear thinking, generous collaboration, and the willingness to say no when a moment does not meet the bar.
Ramp is committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
